Care is at the heart of our sessions.
The first step is finding a therapist who you trust. That’s why we offer a free 15 min consultation to see if we can work together. Get in touch for more information.
Welcome to City Counselling
Hello and Welcome to our website.
We are Maria and Frank. We met at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute completing our training together, with what seems a very long time ago! Together we realised that our skills complement each other. We work independently but are able to pool our resources and expertise.
We all have periods of time when life just feels too much, we may feel overwhelmed, feel stuck or find ourselves repeating unhealthy patterns of behaviour. Reaching out can be the first step of your journey in working towards a healthier way of being, this can be immensely liberating.
We work within a trauma informed approach, which enables us to work with those who have experienced, lived with, or been affected by trauma. We understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach, everyone has differences and individual experiences. With this in mind, we ensure that we work with you at your pace. We believe it is important to feel safe, to be understood and heard with empathy. It is important to find the therapist who can meet your needs, for what could be a life affirming journey.
Initially, we offer a free 15 min phone or video call. Please feel free to contact us.
Please note we are not an Emergency Service. If you feel you cannot keep yourself safe please look at some information here.
